THE SMALL GROUP MODEL
RELATIONSHIPS
The life of our cell-based church is Christ dwelling in His people in a network of loving relationships. Like the human body, which is made up of millions of cells (the basic unit of life), the life of a cell-based church is also in its cells (small groups of people in community). In this arrangement, believers actively seek a relationship with God, each other, and those outside the family of God.  Through these committed relationships, members encourage each other toward maturity in worship, mutual strengthening of faith, and evangelism. THIS IS COMMUNITY. The terms “small group” and “cell” are roughly interchangeable...you’ll hear us use both terms and they both refer to these small relationally based groups that focus on transformation of the heart more than simply gathering biblical information.

WHAT IS A SMALL GROUP?
It is a group of 8-12 people (sometimes a smaller group, sometimes larger) that meet in members’ homes, a coffee shop, a local park, or any other location where people can comfortably gather. In the meeting participants can develop friendships, receive support for life’s challenges, gain skills in Christian living, and develop a deeper understanding of the Bible.

WHAT ARE SMALL GROUP MEETINGS LIKE?
Small Group meetings last for about two hours, usually meet weekly, and often move from location to location.
